Forming since 1999 and finalized
the Article of Association in 2001.
Ministry of Transport was
assisting the whole process of legalization and Cabinet approved
MIFFA to form in September 2002.
Official Association License
was granted by Ministry of National Planning and Economic Development
on May 20, 2003

>> While forming
the Association, MIFFA attended the ASEAN FEDERATION OF FREIGHT
FORWARDERS ASSOCIATION ( AFFA ) AGM as observer and allowed membership
of AFFA in 10th AGM was held in Hanoi, Vietnam 2001.

>> The World Congress of FIATA,
held in Bali, Indonesia on 29 Sept- 03 Oct,2003 announced MIFFA the
membership of FIATA.

having at least three year experience in international freight
forwarding business as a director
- Shall not be bankrupt declared
under law
- Shall be a body comprising
Myanmar Citizens
- Shall be a body that can
contribute to the development of the Association

undertaking commercial activities individually, industrialists,
service enterprises
who have engaged in commercial activities

Shall
not be bankrupt

not be insane person

Shall
not be punished under a sentence by the court for the offence
related to personal character or security of the state

Shall
be the person who has promised to observe the memorandum of
Association and Articles of Association

OF MEMBERSHIP ( Honorary Member ) |
The juristic person
or natural person complete with one of the qualifications shall have
the right to join as the Honorary member :
- person who can render beneficial contribution to Association
- person accepted to join as the honorary member at the invitation
of BOD
- persons who have worked to the best of their abilities in the
economy and commercial sectors of the State and experts and lawyers
- persons who are considered to possess capabilities for the
development of the Association

| RIGHTS
TO MEMBERS |

The more
expansion of Association’s activities, the right of more
participation for developing the economic activities of the
members
-
The
right to obtain techniques on administration and management,
industrial technical know-how and expertise related to international
freight forwarding service under the leadership of the Association
-
The right
to make queries to the Secretary on all the matters of Association
and its development
-
The right
of conducting discussion, submitting proposals and making queries
at the general meetings
-
The right
to seconding and objecting the proposals
-
Excepting
the honorary member, the right to cast secret vote on proposals
and electing the directors in case of necessity
