1988, Myanmar had only 43 airports and totally
increased to 66 now a day.
Yangon International Airport is the major airport and there are
26 international air routes passing through the air territory of
Myanmar.
In domestic services, there are flights with destination of 19 townships
from Yangon Airport and 6 townships from Mandalay Airport. |

Carrier, Myanmar Five Star Line provide
feeder services between Yangon and Singapore with 3 Container Vessels.
Foreign Carrier, Advance Container Line (ACL), Hub Int’l Co.,Ltd(
Premier Spectrum ), Eagle Shipping Co.,Ltd (Gold Star Line) and
Tong Joo Shipping are providing feeder services between Yangon,
Malaysia, Singapore.

Vessel Operating Common Carrier Service (NVOCC)

Maersk
Container Line, P&O Nedllyod Line, Hapag Lloyd Container Line,
MOSK, HYUNDAI, APL, CMA-CGM, K-LINE, CHINA SHIPPING, LLOYD TRANSTINO,
are providing nvocc for out bound/in bound transportation services
for Myanmar.
Some freight forwarders also providing as well. |
At
present, there are 11 wharfs owned by Myanmar Port Authority, 6
state-owned wharfs and 9 private-owned wharfs for international
vessels in Yangon. At the moment, Yangon Port is accessible to 167
meter long vessels with a 9 meter draft and 15,000 dead weight tons.
Vessels of 176 meter length and 10 meter draft can berth at Thilawa
Port. |

Five Star Line serves coastal trips for both passengers and cargo
for domestic transportation.
Inland water transportation is undertaking passengers and cargo transport
services on rivers of Myanmar with pose red craft, barges and pontoons.
Besides, deep sea port projects are being carried out at Kyautphyu,
Kalagauk, Dawei and Bokpyin. |

There are 250 railway stations, 2 River rail road bridges, 5650
nos of large and small railroad bridges all over the country.

Division, Mandalay Division, Sagaing Division, Magway Division,
Ayeyawaddy Division and Taninthayi Division. |
